I officially have a new favorite fitness blog...Crossfit Mamas!!!
I discovered Crossfit workouts a few years ago when my husband was doing them for Adventure Racing preparation and I fell in love. The format of most workouts is relatively fast, but super effective. So imagine my delight when I came across Crossfit Mamas via Pinterest, where all good things are found.
Caroline is a super clingy baby, as I've mentioned and rarely lets me sit her down for more than a few minutes at a time. These workouts on Crossfit Mamas mostly take 10-15 minutes or less and are no brainers since everything is updated for you everyday with a new workout, most of which require little or no equipment. I can put Caroline in her Exersaucer and get to work! Today is only my second workout from the sight, and I haven't been able to get through a whole one yet due to baby complaints, but I am already feeling it! Y'all be sure to check this site out, you will love it! You can also always check out the original Crossfit .http://crossfit.com/
In big kid news, we officially have an independent sitter!
and a happy one at that :)
She can only do it for a few minutes before she topples over, but it's soooo cute! I feel like developmentally, six months is leading us up to some seriously big milestones. I'm excited, but a little blue, too. Time flies.
And a new year update. I managed to stick with the two goals (I don't do resolutions, just goals) I set for the month of January. I read one chapter of Proverbs each day to finish the book and I'm on track with my Christmas $ savings plan pictured below. Both were ideas from FB friends.
So now it's on to my February goals of doing at least 4 Crossfit mama workouts a week, continuing the savings plan and doing one random act of kindness a week. First on the list is making hot chocolate for our sanitation workers on this cold, snowy day. It's worth noting that it was 72 degrees here three days ago and today it's 7. Anyone with any good random acts, feel free to send them my way :) Have a great weekend!
