Age: 8 monthsBirthday: August 7, 2012
Weight: 17 pounds 12 ounces
Length: 25 1/4 inches
Sleep: Depends on the night. I try to never change anything about her bedtime routine, and one night she'll sleep 10 hours like a rock, and then the next she's up every three hours. It's very frustrating, but that's life.
My Bedtime: 8:15-8:45 depending on last nap time, her mood, what we have going on, etc. I have started giving her oatmeal around 8 before nursing her to sleep and it seems to keep her filled a bit longer.
Favorite Toy: Wooden mixing spoon, lids to cashew jars, a stuffed Minnie Mouse her cousin gave her from Disney and she LOVES remotes!
Clothes Size: 6-9 months, 9 months or 6-12 month if no 9 month size is available.
Diaper Size: Size 3 in Pampers Swaddlers, the only diaper worth buying. Luvs are a close second for a cheaper option.
Milestones Reached: Pulling up to her knees from a seated position, scooting to places she wants to go.Firsts: Bananas (a BIG hit), apple juice in a sippy cup
Best Mood: Most days she stays pretty happy all the time except around nap time. She's also started throwing a fit every time I try to get her to eat food. She has loved it for the most part since I started feeding her from a spoon but all of a sudden it's a hissy fit anytime I try to feed her now.
Teeth: Still not teeth and no real visible signs of them like whitecaps or swelling. She drools all the time and chews on anything and everything but nothing on her gums look any different.
that word and have her mean it!
Words: Still no real words directed at anyone or anything just yet. She can make the ma, da, pa, etc sounds but doesn't put them together to call anyone or anything by name. I just can't wait to hear what her little voice will sound like saying Mama! Surely it's bound to be any day now, right along with those teeth.
Crawling: Why crawl when you can just whine and give your mama a pitiful look and reach to her so she'll take you wherever you want to go? My baby's no dummy (but her mama is a sucker). I think she can crawl, but hasn't found the right incentive to just yet. She can roll around, scoot, lunge and everything but crawl to move around, so I guess she'd classify as mobile, just not in the traditional sense of the word.
It's not toes in the sand just yet, but we'll take it.
A new face she's discovered. And check out the hair blowing in the wind.
