Lilly Pulitzer rolled out their early spring collection recently and I'm in love with quite a few things. I love the way that when you're wearing the bright, bold patterns Lilly is known for, you can't help but feel a little bit more bright and bold yourself. That being said, I've been drooling over a few of the new Spring items, for starters, and probably one of my favorite Lilly items of all time, the Elsa in First Impression.
This is my favorite Lilly pattern to date and I will buy practically anything that comes in this pattern for myself or Caroline. I managed to find this top via The Pink Pelican before it went up on the Lilly site and I can't wait to get it in!
I love these pieces together as an outfit. I think it's the perfect evening beach outfit for me! This frigid, snowy winter we've been having has me dreaming of warmer days ahead, including our family beach trip if we can ever narrow down where we want to go this summer, and you can bet this outfit will make it's way into my suitcase.
I just love the light, pastel colors on this top. It's like if spring were a pattern, this would be it.
This dress is a wonderful timeless piece to have that can be a great transitional piece for most any season. Navy and a wrap dress...what more could you want. You can dress it up with wedges and bright accessories or just keep it simple with the gold accessories like they've done in the photo.
I wasn't in love with this dress at first glance, but the more I see it, the more it grows on me. I don't know that I would give it a second glance if not for knowing that it's inspired by Savannah, one of my very favorite Southern gems. The inspiration comes from the fountains in Savannah's beautiful squares. Looking more closely, I see the inspiration translate into the pattern and it makes me reconsider my initial disinterest in this dress.
Do you ever visit a website and put everything in your shopping cart that you want...and then hear your bank account laughing at you as you have to delete it all except maybe one or two items? That's what happens when I go on Lilly's website most of the time. The best bet when shopping Lilly in my experience has been actually going in the stores once the newest collections roll out and a lot of times, the previous collection will be on sale.
You can also join the rest of the crazies in their Endless Summer Sale and wait impatiently as the website crashes for the millionth time wiping out all of the items you had saved in your cart that mysteriously went out of stock while the site was down. I've also had a lot of success finding certain items on Ebay in the past so that's always an option.
The only one of the above that I've purchased is the First Impression Elsa top because I knew that one would be a hot commodity and I reallyyyyyyyyy wanted it. I know I'll wear it many times over the years and I even have Caroline a few pieces in that pattern in different sizes (Ebay finds) so that we can match for years to come ;)
