I thought I'd share a few of my favorite things on this rainy St. Patrick's Day. I've neglected my little blog the last couple of weeks with all the travel and house hunting/showing business, but I'm getting back to a more consistent routine with everything now. So, let's get to it!
I started this book a couple of weeks ago and it has taken me forever to finish it, but I'm loving it! I'm about 3/4 of the way through and hoping to finish it this weekend. It is the sequel to Southern Solstice which I reviewed a couple of weeks ago. I have to say, I think this one is more well written and I find myself liking it even better. I'll post a review when I finish!
I am SO SO SO excited for the premier of Home Town on HGTV this coming Tuesday!!!! (in case all the "so's" weren't indicative enough, all the exclamation points were necessary.) I started following Erin and Ben on Instagram last year shortly before their pilot aired and after the pilot, I was officially hooked on these two. They just seem like the real deal and so genuine. I feel like reality television like HGTV's "couple" shows really reveals people's character. Maybe that sounds silly, but I still remember watching Fixer Upper when it first came on and thinking, "I would just love to be friends with these two, they seem so sweet." And in the same respect, I remember tuning into another couple show on the same chanel that shall remain nameless and thinking, "Wow, these two seem so forced and like they are putting on airs." Well, Home Town is a show after my own heart and I find myself totally wanting to hang out with Ben and Erin. They just seem like the real deal and I love that their show focuses on how they are revitalizing their home town, specifically restoration work on the old home that need some love. I think if I could choose any profession in the world, I would restore old homes and buildings, so this show is on the top of my "Need to Watch" list.
How fin are these banana leaf print pj's from Beaufort Linen Co.? I think they would be adorable with a bold pink monogram on the chest. Unfortunately, my size is sold out and I missed them, but they are re-stocking in a few weeks and maybe your size is still available?!
I'll be honest...I'm not a basketball fan, nor am I a UK fan, but I am a proud NKU Alumni, where I cheered for two seasons, so I will probably have to turn in to this NKU vs UK ballgame tonight for the NCAA tournament. In case you aren't familiar, this is the first year ever that NKU has even been eligible to play in the NCAA tournament. We were Division II when I cheered and switched to DI the very next year, so how cool to make the tournament the very first year of eligibility?! IT's kind of a bummer that they have to play UK though. Not saying they can't win, but most people I know who went to NKU are actually UK fans, so people are torn. I'm not, but some are haha. Go Norse!
Can you spy me in the pic above? Hint:I'm not a top girl haha #NorseUp
Lastly, if you like Twine and Twig, it's your lucky day because with the code "GETLUCKY" you can save 20% off your order. Some of their larger pieces don't suit my style, but I love some of the more simple bracelets and necklaces like I posted below. They are interested, but neutral.
Y'all have a GREAT weekend! We don't really have much planned, aside from seeing Beauty and the Beast, which I CAN'T WAIT FOR!!!!
